Description

The new 2020 DaYan TengYun V2 M is a quiet and exceptionally soft and smooth 3x3 magnetic speed cube with some really cool new premium features.  TengYun means 'to soar on clouds' - and this is quite an apt description for this V2 version of this cool new cube. The biggest change from the V1 is that the new TengYun V2M brings a new adjustable magnetic system which allows you to adjust magnet strength by turning a rotating plate (3 settings) and also has new adjustable settings for elasticities and tensions.

DaYan brought us the famous Zhanchi, then GuHong and the TengYun has certainly delivered a great speed cube evolution now the V2 now delivering a unique premium quality speed cube that is hard to compare to any other on the market today.

bit blocky, overwhelming customization options

cube feels a bit blocky, definitely a preference thing but even the turning is slightly affected by this feel, especially slice moves can be sharp and odd feeling. they went overboard on the customization options, far too many things to tweak making a sweet spot basically impossible to find. too different from the tengyun v1 to truly be called a v2, more like a new cube design all together, hence why the guhong v4 is so similar

Great great cube

Great feel! Very soft, very silky, plastic just feels light and smooth.

Cube weighs not much so easy to do hundreds of solves

I love how easy it is it customise, magnetic strength takes seconds to swap.

Great corner cutting both ways

Great Cube, Magnets little bit too weak

This is great it is nice and quieter than most, it's stability is great I find it will only corner twist if you want to do and will not corner twist while solving. It is quite a fast cube and corner cuts quite well. Though the magnets are a little too weak for my liking because it turns fast it sometimes overshoots, but overall this a great cube, and I recommend it.

Sorry about this. Cubes 'falling apart' or 'popping' is, unfortunately, quite a normal part of speedcubing and usually, this does not mean that anything about this DaYan TengYun is in fact broken. The reason is that the cubes sometimes come with a very loose tension from the factory - a speed cube is, after all, looking to achieve a fine balance between setting the tensions of the cube in such a manner to achieve the fastest speed possible. If the tensions are to loose - the cube may 'pop' - and unfortunately this may even happen during first turns as these cubes are assembled by hand in China and sometimes the setup can be very loose. Simply google - 'how to assemble a speed cube' and there will be heaps of videos which will demonstrate how to reassemble the cube whilst also setting the tensions tighter so that the cube does not easily pop. Here is a video I found : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68dvY7THQfo If you are still not satisfied - please email us at help@speedcube.com.au and ask for a return or refund.
